Exploring Digital Twins at EGU 2024

Destination Earth (DestinE) will host a session on “Digital Twins of the Earth System” at EGU 2024 in Vienna, Austria, from April 14-19. This session will highlight advances in computational capacities, modeling technologies, and information systems, featuring projects like DT-GEO. The event will include 10 on-site presentations and a poster session on Digital Twin Technologies.

DT-GEO & ‘Ready for the tsunami?’ Documentary

On December 19th, the documentary ¿Preparados para el Tsunami? (Ready for the Tsunami?) will air at 23:00 on Movistar+. The one-hour film explores the science behind earthquakes and tsunamis, focusing on Southwest Europe, and highlights innovative solutions to mitigate their devastating impact. The documentary, co-produced by Goat Knight and RTVE with support from RTP (Portugal) and Movistar+, recently premiered at the Instituto de Ciencias del Mar (ICM-CSIC) in Barcelona.
