Equality and Diversity

Committee

DT-GEO is committed to contributing to equal opportunities and diversity in the scientific community.

The Committee has the goal of ensuring a more integrated approach to research and innovation within DT-GEO.

The objectives of the Equality Committee are based on the strategy for gender equality of Horizon Europe, while also taking intersectionality into account.

Thus, the Equality Committee will organise workshops and activities that support and encourages researchers from underrepresented minorities to get involved in the decision-making process on the project.

Women in Science

The International Day of Women and Girls in Science on February 11 serves as a global call to action to recognize and support the crucial contributions of women researchers in scientific communities around the world. To commemorate this, we at DT-GEO are thrilled to present a video series that delves into the personal journeys of three extraordinary researchers within our project.

Meet Paula Herrero, Chiara Montagna, and Alejandra Guerrero. These leading researchers have not only made groundbreaking contributions to the field of geophysics but also share a common thread: a lifelong passion for science.

Empowering Women in Science: Share your story with DT-GEO

On February 11th, our inboxes and timelines were filled with reminders of why it’s crucial to highlight women and girls in science. However, we don’t want the act of highlighting the work of women scientists to be confined to just one day. Therefore, following the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the DT-GEO Equality and Diversity Committee invites you to participate in our brief survey and share your stories about women scientific pioneers whose work deserves recognition, both within and outside the project, whether you have met them in person or not.

In a month, we will make these statements public on our website. We warmly encourage your participation, as every shared story not only commemorates a remarkable journey but also strengthens our collective commitment to inclusivity and diversity in science.
